This & That - the funny photography by Emily Blincoe

I already posted some work of photographer Emily Blincoe previously, when I featured her photos of candies and plants organized by colors. Now I bring another artist's project: This & That. In this series (which you can follow on thisampersandthat.tumblr.com), Blincoe plays with couples of objects we usually associate, like wine and cheese, beans and rice, suit and tie, burger and fries, etc. The result is a funny series of photos that plays with colors and shapes.

The lyrical and fashion illustrations with leaves by Tang Chiew Ling

From Malasia, Tang Chiew Ling is a freelance graphic designer and artist who likes to create fun and lyrical illustrations with everyday little objects. Maybe the type of object most used by him is leaves.

Using leaves from several plants, the artist merges the leaves with drawings, creating beautiful and fun illustrations, showing leaves as clouds, paragliders or even night dresses. In his better-known series, "Fashion in Leaves", Ling uses diverse leaves like they were dresses, in illustrations that could appear in any fashion magazine.

Ling explains with his own words: "I was wondering does fashion can be part of leaf art as I'm interested in fashion. The most challlenging in this project was how to apply leaf to dress! However, I tried to find some more special leaf this time to make the "dress" looks elegant. I was very surprised to get those such beautiful leaves in a garden. I never thought the leaves can be so beautiful, some of them are full of structures, patterns and lines on it, different colors in a leaf, even is withered leaves. So, I applied them into different types of dresses according to the different types of leaves.".
